Back in October, Delainey had swelling in her leg. Now keep in mind, she has had selling her leg literally since she was around the age of 1, but this time she had an egg shaped lump on the top of her thigh. After bringing her to children’s hospital in Winnipeg, they admitted her and she had an MRI done.

That same day she was diagnosed with Lymphatic vascular malformations. Basically any time she gets an infection, the lymphatic system which in her case is affected, tried to go into battle mode and she gets infected around her knee and legs because her Lymphatic veins are bombarded with premalignant cells.

Surgery wasn’t an option as this point because we were told by the vascular surgeon that by removing them, would only cause inflammation in her leg and 99% of the time it comes back.  So although we are happy to finally have answers, it does make me fear more.

So for now, she goes back every 6 months for an MRI to monitor how quickly or slowly they are spreading/growing. We will continue to pray over her and for her for complete healing, every day for the next 6 months.
